Surgical Approach
Transventricular Endoscopic
Intraventricular endoscopy passes a neuroendoscope through a small burr hole into the ventricular system to treat CSF disorders and intraventricular lesions. Core procedures include endoscopic third ventriculostomy for obstructive hydrocephalus, colloid-cyst removal, septostomy and biopsy.
It offers a minimal-access route to the ventricles, navigating carefully around the fornix, choroid plexus and deep veins.
